Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Merchroad LLC, doing business as Rushie ("Rushie", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares information when you use rushie.com, the Rushie chapter app, chapter stores and invoices (the "Services").
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name and email address, and the organizations you belong to and your role in them.
- Organization details: organization name, school, store link and shipping address (including the name and phone number for deliveries).
- Orders and conversations: order details, messages with our design team, and the files, photos and artwork you upload.
- Chapter store purchases: your name and email, and for each item the name it's for, size, color and quantity.
- Payments: payments are processed by Stripe on rushie.com. Stripe collects your card or bank details directly. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount and limited details such as card brand, but never your full card number.
- Text messages: your phone number and messages if you text our design line.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device information: pages visited, links clicked, browser and device type, and approximate location based on IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure how the site is used through Google Tag Manager and the analytics tools it loads.
How we use information
- To provide the Services: create mockups, run chapter stores, take payments, produce and ship orders, and send invoices.
- To communicate with you: sign-in codes, order updates, mockups, receipts, shipping and tracking emails, and replies to your messages.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To understand and improve how the Services are used.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
How information is shared
- With your organization. When you buy from a chapter store, that organization's account members can see your name and email and the name, size, color and quantity of each item, so the order can be handed out. Organization members can see their organization's orders, messages and invoices.
- With service providers that run the Services for us: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Netlify (website hosting), Resend (email), shipping carriers (deliveries) and Google (site analytics). They may only use information to provide their services to us.
- For legal reasons, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Rushie, our users or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own advertising.
Retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill orders, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Then we delete it or keep it in a form that doesn't identify you.
Your choices
- Emails: signed-in users can turn off notification emails in Settings. We'll still send emails you need, such as sign-in codes, receipts and invoices.
- Texts: reply STOP to stop texts from us.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some features, like staying signed in or keeping your cart, may not work without them.
- Access, correction and deletion: to ask for a copy of your information, or for us to correct or delete it, text us at (513) 502-1696. We may need to keep some information, such as payment records, where the law requires it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls on chapter data, and a payment processor that keeps card details off our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Services are meant for college students and organizations, and aren't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
